Show Fantastic!

Visitor's and exhibitors described it as the best show yet and we're not going to argue!

The Wedding Journal Show rocked Belfast this weekend when over 10,000 excited brides-to-be, fiancés, family and friends descended on the King's Hall to view a wedding showcase like no other.

Never before have we brought you so many stands, covering so many aspects of getting married and with the catwalk show reaching new levels of glamour and gorgeousness, and the Princess bride bestowing gifts on lucky couples very 20 minutes, there was a constant buzz of excitement in the air.

Our Princess & The Prize competition run in conjunction with Cool Fm reached an exhilarating climax on the Saturday when the five lucky finalists joined Pete Snodden on stage to find out which of the amazing prizes they had won. No one was a loser and there were tears of happiness as all five coupes celebrated their wins.

Add to that rumours that X-Factor winner Matt Cardle would turn up (he was reported to be dating one of the dancers in the catwalk show and was performing in the Odyssey on the Saturday night with the X-Factor tour) and we were in wedding fever overdrive!

From fast cars and snappy photographers, to gorgeous flowers, divine gowns and magical reception venues, the exhibitors thrilled visitors with a spectacular array of wedding wonders. Show organisers faced a tough choice when it came to choosing who would win the Best Stand Award but Petticoat Lane Bridal in Hillsborough were declared the well deserved winners for their stand which was a wonderful blend of vintage chic and modern glamour – the perfect setting for their beautiful collection of wedding dresses and accessories.

A huge thank you goes out to all the exhibitors at the show for putting so much effort into their stands and for offering an incredible range of special offers, competitions and special show discounts that ensured every bride-to-be left smiling.
