Little Rascals Most brides choose to have children in their bridal party as flowers girls and pageboys and children are often very willing guests at weddings so, like everyone else, they want to look their best. And of course you too will want your little darlings to look the part as well. It's easy to go down the ‘mini me' route and dress them like little brides and grooms, but children being children will soon discard excessive formal wear. Don't make them look like they have grown up too soon, keep them looking like children in silky, floaty, fairytale fabrics and keep the detail simple as children do tend to fiddle about with fussy outfits.
For little girls, dresses should be no longer than ankle length so they don't trip over and fall. Make sure they are comfortable in what they are wearing, because they won't be concerned that this is your big day, they will just want to play and have fun regardless. Keep skirts full and unrestrictive, and try to avoid too many layers of scratchy net, especially in hot weather. When it comes to buying kids' clothes you don't have to go to a lot of expense as many of the high street stores such as BHS, Debenhams, Next, Marks and Spencer, and Monsoon have a wide range of off the-peg outfits available for boys and girls at reasonable prices. After all children do grow out of clothes fast, therefore you don't want to be out of pocket buying their outfits. Click on the images below to view a sample.
