Wedding Photography Tips
Make sure your wedding album is one to be proud off with these wedding photography tips from Darragh Casey Photography...
As a wedding photographer I'm often asked by brides 'what should I look for in a wedding photographer?' Price is obviously important, so working within your wedding budget, here are a few things I consider important when trying to find the right photographer for your wedding day.

Feel the connection
Never choose a wedding photographer based on price alone, choose someone because you love their wedding images and you connect with them on a personal level.Professionalism is a must and a good rapport is important too, this person will be sharing your special day, and interacting with your family and friends so you must like him/her.
Style seeker
Think about the style of wedding photography you like and search for photographers that specialise in that style. Meet with two or three photographers you like and ask youself: Are they passionate about their work? Will they get excited about your wedding day? Make sure you see more than one sample wedding album, and make sure they aren't just shooting the same tired old shots at every wedding. Each wedding is unique and the images should reflect that.

Pick the perfect wedding package
Remember that you are not just paying for a wedding package, you are investing
in an entire experience, a service and a final product that will last a lifetime. Your wedding photographer should be able to work with you closely and provide a package that will meet your needs.
Pre-plan
I recommend meeting with your wedding photographer at least twice if you can before the wedding. Relax with a coffee and chat about your day. He/she needs to know you, and what you want. It's not simply about making out a schedule for the day, it's about working together to get the most out of your wedding day - this pre-planning time together really does pay dividends.
Choose your wedding album with care
Lastly, consider the quality of wedding albums your photographer uses.
Top of the range albums and prints are expensive to produce and this will be reflected in the price and the quality. Your album should last a lifetime, not just in terms of build quality, but also in terms of style and how it looks and feels.
Something that may be fashionable today may soon go out of fashion so consider this when looking at album choices.
The layout of the album should be timeless, with great photography and album design you should have a wedding album that you can treasure for a lifetime together.
