New wedding packages at Makanyane Safari Lodge

The stunning wedding location of Makanyane Safari Lodge have just announced their latest wedding packages for travel between 1st September 2011 and 30th April 2012.

The two wedding packages are perfect for couples looking to elope or those who want an intimate wedding celebration with up to 14 wedding guests.

Both wedding packages are all-inclusive and have been designed to take the pressure off a couple's big day. Makanyane Safari Lodge will arrange the finer details of the wedding, including the wedding cake, bridal flowers, wedding photographer and minister and can cater for all the personal requests of the bride and groom, ensuring their special day is everything they wished for. Included in the packages are all meals and local drinks over three nights; game drives, game walks, visit to the sleep out hide and beauty treatments for the happy couple.

Makanyane Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve just an hour's flight from Johannesburg. The only unfenced lodge in the reserve, it provides the wedding guests with the exhilarating experience of being up close and personal with the wildlife. The exclusive sleep out hide is ideal for a newlywed couple to spend their first night, sleeping out under the stars listening to the calls of the wild.

Home to the famous big five and a myriad of other animals and bird species, Makanyane Safari Lodge lies hidden deep in the reserve's lush riverside forest. The lodge can cater for up to 16 people in eight suites and offers guests the ultimate secluded escape for a honeymoon. Each suite has large glass walls offering panoramic views across the reserve and the Marico River and the bathroom's large glass doors open to outdoor rock showers.

The wedding package for two people costs ZAR 62,000 (approx. £5,572) for three nights and includes full board accommodation including local wines, beers and spirits; a minister to perform the ceremony, flowers, photographer, two tier wedding cake and beauty treatments to the value of ZAR 2,000 (approx. £179); two game drives, spotlight game drives at night and game walks; visit to the sleep out hide and transfers from the Madikwe Game Reserve air strip.

The wedding package for up to 16 people costs ZAR 283,000 (approx. £25,368) for three nights and includes as above and in addition a three tier wedding cake and optional private dinner or breakfast for the bride and groom.
