Weddings with the National Trust

If you're planning a wedding of distinction The National Trust offers a selection of delightful properties across Northern Ireland…

Unique venues, stunning locations and magnificent surroundings are just a few reasons to consider the National Trust when planning your big day. Choose from eight stunning properties that offer a variety of exquisite rooms and gardens for wedding ceremonies and receptions, some of which are licensed to perform civil weddings. Here are a few of our favourites…

Castle Ward, Co. Down
Situated on the edge of Strangford Lough, Castle Ward is an impressive Georgian house built in two distinct architectural styles, Classical and Gothic. Within this exquisite venue is The Hall, an elegant and grandiose space for holding a wedding ceremony. A theatre, courtyard and restaurant are also available for hire and a marquee can be located in the grounds.

Weddings from 25 to 400 people can be hosted and all these areas are also licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. Luxury overnight accommodation is also available for the bride and groom, making this venue unique from any other in Northern Ireland.

Castle Coole, Co. Fermanagh
Located in Enniskillen, Castle Coole is one of the finest neo-classical houses in Ireland. With Regency interior decoration, furniture and furnishings, this property exudes an ambience of grandeur and wealth.

The Hall, situated in the heart of this magnificent building makes a grand venue for a wedding ceremony or reception for up to 120 guests and a marquee can also be accommodated within the grounds.

Mount Stewart & Temple of the Winds, Co. Down
The neo-classical house and award winning gardens of Mount Stewart near Newtownards make a beautiful setting for weddings ranging in size from 35 to 100 guests. This impressive venue offers a variety of settings for your wedding reception including the Central Hall, Bay Restaurant and gardens where a marquee can be situated.

Set high on a hill top overlooking Strangford Lough is The Temple of the Winds, a small 18th century banqueting hall based on the Temple of the Winds in Athens. Built in 1785, this exquisite building, with its stunning interior and breathtaking views, provides another spectacular setting. Civil ceremonies can be held in all of the above areas except the restaurant
