Despite holidays abroad generally falling out of favour as the budget crunching continues, demand for foreign stag and hen parties is on the up.

Leading stag and hen party provider Redseven has revealed that from 2009 to 2010 demand for weekends abroad jumped by a whopping 55%! And it's girls who are driving the trend, with a 75% increase in hen party bookings abroad compared to a 42% rise from stag parties.

The destination that attracted the most additional interest from hen parties was Lloret del Mar, on the Costa Brava, where bookings soared by more than 600%.

European destinations have also continued to welcome more British stag parties, with bookings to long-time favourites Magaluf, Tenerife and Ibiza up 147%, 115% and 35% respectively.

Again Eastern European destinations benefited from this 'stag and hen migration': bookings to Vilnius were up more than 300%, while bookings to Prague more than doubled and to Riga increased by 41%.
