A dress for Kate
The date's been set and brides-to-be from all over Ireland will be wondering what sort of dress Kate Middleton will be wearing when she walks up the aisle to marry Prince William on April 29.
We've asked four experts from the bridal industry to select a dress from their latest collections that would suit the occasion and tell us what sort of gown they think Kate will choose...
REGINE ELLIS
"Kate is an elegant young woman that is classic in her style but always manages to put a contemporary touch to every outfit. I predict that her wedding dress will follow this trend.
"The Ellis style that would suit her best is a one-shoulder metal taffeta gown with beautiful twisted detail on the shoulder and skirt making the dress luxurious with a fashion touch."

CHARLOTTE BALBIER
Kate is true English Rose with a touch of glamour and effortless chic. Her dress choice should reflect her personality and her modern day fairytale wedding to a Prince.
"I would dress Kate in a soft silk gown that is elegant and timeless and style her with a long veil and accessories from the royal treasure box!
"I would keep her fresh, young and stylish, with a fashion edge, but without compromising her elegant chic style.
"I predict Kate will walk down the aisle looking every inch the princess, in a chic, slim fitting fishtail gown with a long train and accessorised with Royal jewels by a British fashion designer."

SASSI HOLFORD
"There are a number of important considerations for Kate Middleton's wedding gown: it's a major royal occasion to be watched by millions around the world, the size and splendour of Westminster Abbey, whether or not the bride will wear any pieces of royal heritage jewellery.
"These factors would suggest a silk gown perhaps with lace detailing on the bodice and full skirted with a cathedral train. The skill then is to produce a design that meets the expectations of a royal wedding but also reflects the personality of a fashion conscious, intelligent, young woman.
"I would expect Kate to be a 'less is more' bride and not to indulge in any over-elaboration.
"The design 'Yvette' by Sassi Holford from the 2011 collection is in silk and has a chic but flattering cross-front lace bodice emphasised by an empire band with flower detail. The shape is 'fit and flair' to accentuate a stunning figure, and the overall feel is understated elegance."

BENJAMIN ROBERTS LTD Karen Taft, Managing Director at Benjamin Roberts Ltd, says: "At Benjamin Roberts, we believe that Kate Middleton will opt for something very chic and sophisticated for her forthcoming wedding.
"As a person, she seems very down to earth and unlikely to want to follow traditional full gowns with too much fuss and detail.
"With her unrivalled athletic figure and poise, Kate could opt for wedding gowns that reflect such a silhouette and a 'Less is more' attitude. With her statuesque shoulders and full bust, Kate could take any kind of neckline which coupled with her lovely long locks, whether they are groomed up or down, she will be a truly stunning royal bride without much effort.
"A tiny waist and long legs also ensure that she will look incredibly brilliant in whatever design she chooses, as she is no doubt a designers dream to style.
"The Benjamin Roberts dress that I think would suit Kate best is: Eva from ENZOANI, which has a svelte, figure-hugging silhouette with a highly fashionable pony tail train that trails from the middle of the back. This dress oozes sophistication and will reflect Kate's exquisite figure."
