Wedding Jewellery Tips
Jewellery designer Claudia Bradby shares her top tips for wedding jewellery

- Keep it simple. Jewellery is there to embellish, not feature. You and your wedding dress will do that.
- Try to include some jewellery with a history – something 'borrowed', a family heirloom or an item of jewellery bought from a place that holds a particular significance for you.
- Create your own history – consider if you will wear the jewellery again before making any purchase for your wedding day. A wedding is very expensive so you probably can't afford to buy jewellery that you will only wear once. Being able to wear the jewellery you wore on your wedding day again in the future will bring back lovely memories for you
- Don't forget your honeymoon – a single long necklace or a pair of gold hoop earrings will dress you up and take you anywhere.
- Do invest in a jewellery roll – invaluable for travel it will set your mind at ease that your jewellery is safe and can be easily stored in a shoebox.
- Jewellery makes a great gift for bridesmaids whatever their age. It's a real treat to be given something 'real' and these gifts don't need to cost a fortune. Look out for simple pearl earrings or charm bracelets.
- Most brides wear at least a pair of earrings – if the earrings are very ornate be careful not to overdo it with a complicated necklace. Less is more.
- Have a final try on in advance of your wedding day. You need to be confident that everything works together.
