The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Shaws Bridge, Belfast, has reported a steep increase in wedding enquiries after the end of lock down.
Anneka Allen, sales manager at the hotel, said “We have been inundated with new enquiries from couples who are looking to secure a date for their wedding. This is on top of existing bookings that have moved to new dates next year. Our diary for the 2021 and 2022 seasons is filling up fast, which is great news”.
“We held an outdoor ceremony for a couple during lockdown, which was a really lovely day. This prompted us to upgrade our wedding gardens. We have now installed lovely lighting on the trees and trellis screens, which will fantastic for evening reception photos”.
The Crowne Plaza is Belfast leading wedding venue, a winner of the Wedding Journal’s Venue of the Year award for all of Co Antrim.
The hotel has two luxury wedding suites, the Laganview Suite and Malone Suite. The Laganview is a dual level, dedicated function building, offering completely private location for weddings, with a magnificent entrance area and its own wedding garden, offering a truly romantic setting.
Perhaps the greatest asset of the Crowne Plaza is its location. Set in the verdant Lagan Valley Regional Park, there are so wonderful locations for photographs right on the doorstep of the hotel.
Anneka concludes with “Everyone who visits the Crowne Plaza says the same thing: ‘we never knew it had so many options and lovely suites’. I’ve been super busy meeting couples coming in for consultations and helping them visualise and plan their big day, which is the part of the job I love most!”
