Said Gutseriev, the son of Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Gutseriev, who is worth $6.2 billion according to Forbes, tied the knot in a lavish wedding of a lifetime that is said to have cost up to $1 billion.

With several wall flowers and arches, a sky-high eight tier wedding cake, and reception entertainment by Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Inglesias and Sting, money was no object when it came to planning this wedding.

20-year-old dentistry student bride Khadija Uzhakhovs wore a custom couture wedding dress designed by celebrity favourite Elis Saab said to have cost half a million dollars. The dress featured long sleeves, a full skirt with train, head-to-toe crystals and fresh water pearls.

The gown was imported from Paris and weighed 11.5kg, the bride needed several helpers to pull her train up the stairs. Khadija accessorised with a diamond tiara worth $57,000, and statement diamond necklace.

600 guests dined on a ‘the finest European cuisine’ and sushi spread, before trying a slice of wedding cake – the eight tier cake was decorated with handmade pink floral garlands and topped with a crescent and star to represent the couple’s Muslim faith.

Star Enrique kept his look low key wearing a baseball hat and jeans whereas J. Lo made at least three costume changes during her performance, which included hits On The Floor, Dance Again, and Get Right. Following the wedding J Lo went on a major shopping spree in Moscow. One store closed even its doors for a couple of hours to let the star shop privately.
