Pearl embellished gowns have been a huge bridal trend in 2022 – and Pixie Lott’s wedding dress has made us fall in love all over again!
Pixie married Oliver Cheshire with a Cathedral wedding on June 6th and even wore a second dress for her reception. However, her ceremony gown, which was a Schiaparelli wedding dress, was what caught everyone’s attention.
On her Instagram, Pixie described the dress as: “A 3-in-1 Haute Couture bustier wedding gown in silk crepe and ivory double satin with a long, dramatic and removable train of 4.5 metres, hand embroidered with Swarovski seed beads.
“The dress is worn over a top with sleeves, a ‘second skin’ nude knitting with seed beads made from an exclusive knitting technique in a Parisian workshop. It requires 20,000 glass beads.
“The train is removed to reveal a new version of the dress for the evening, with the iconic “Schiaparelli” silhouette on the bust and an extravagant volume on the skirt.
“This creation required 650 hours of work in the workshops of the Place Vendôme and 35 meters of double silk satin designed by @danielroseberry for @schiaparelli. Head to my stories and @britishvogue to read more 💛”.
