New trend! Top 25 wedding dresses with high necklines
The height of fashion… wedding dresses with high necklines
Low cut plunging necklines are very much in vogue at the moment, but the look is not for everyone. Polar opposite – high neck wedding dresses, are however equally as fashionable and a leading look for 2017. Here are some of our favourites…
Bateau
High bateau or boat necks are quite figure flattering because they emphasise your shoulders, making your waist look even smaller by comparison. Boat necks look great paired with a princess or A-line skirt as this creates a perfectly balanced top and bottom half.
We love Sottero and Midgley’s bateau neckline which is slashed under the arms – it looks sexy without revealing too much skin.

High collar / funnel
Demure and elegant, the high collar and funnel are good options for the bride who is looking for something quirky or different in a wedding dress.

Square
Square necklines show off the collarbone and décolleté area and make most women appear longer and leaner. They are flattering for all body shapes, but particularly for brides with a big bust because they provide a sophisticated frame to the décolleté without revealing too much cleavage.

Scoop and crew
If you want to create the illusion of having a bigger bust, opt for a scoop or crew-shaped high neckline.
For brides-to-be who don’t usually wear high necklines and may feel a little ‘covered up’ in this style – consider going for a lace or embellished illusion high neckline – see the Alon Livne White gown pictured.
