The proposal

Christopher popped the question when the couple were on holidays in Maspalomas, in an Italian restaurant on the beach.

“The G hotel is our favourite hotel,” Clare begins, “we stayed for my birthday three years ago and loved the hotel and Galway so much we wanted to get married there. From the staff to the food, and decor of the hotel is fab. We wanted somewhere that none of our guests had been before and also a party weekend away!”

“We got married in the Claddagh, Galway, so we decided we would like to use the Claddagh symbol as our theme throughout the wedding,” Clare explains. “It represents love, loyalty and friendship. It featured on our invites, order of service, our photography, favours and my husband’s wedding ring is a celtic knot with the Claddagh in the centre.”

Acorn Images captured the wedding photos. “Acorn Images done my friend’s wedding two years ago. I was bridesmaid at it, and they were such a lovely and professional couple that I wanted them for my own wedding. We were delighted when they agreed to travel to Galway and photograph our day. They were a big help throughout. We are over the moon with our pictures!”
