Naomi and John-Paul Encapsulate every Brides Dream Wedding Day at Killeavy Castle, Surrounded by all their Nearest and Dearest!

How did you both first meet?

In February 2018, I was on a night out with the girls when John-Paul approached me at the bar. Everything just bloomed from there! The following week, John-Paul asked me out for dinner and the rest was history.

Tell us about the proposal!

I got engaged in Wexford on a family holiday on 14/12/2020 on a private beach with our two beautiful children. It was so perfect! I can still remember the waves that day. They were amazing. To turn around and see my “Now Husband” asking me to be his wife was one of the happiest moments of our lives.

When did you start planning your wedding?

The planning went very well! We are both so laid back, so we didn’t get stressed and just enjoyed the whole build-up. I started planning straight away after the new year. We went to see loads of different places but Killeavy Castle won it for us, it was everything we dreamt of.

I planned everything myself and everything was so stress-free.

We got married on Saturday 8th July 2023 and the weather was fantastic the sun was shining all day.

What was your favourite part of the day?

We enjoyed every moment of the day we just soaked it all in everything was so magical and couldn’t have gone any better if we tried, to have everyone we love and care for dance, laugh and be happy on one of the biggest moments of our life’s was all we ever wanted.

Getting ready in the morning with my three beautiful bridesmaids (Ayeisha my best friend of 29 years, Margerite my lovely new sister-in-law, my precious daughter Freya and my fabulous mother)
I had butterflies in my stomach all morning but as soon as I got to the cathedral and saw John-Paul everything was fine.

Any advice you can give?

Just relax and enjoy your day because it’s your big day and it’s all about you both!
Don’t stress and enjoy the whole build-up because, in the end, everything will all fall into place.
Plan your day just how you want it and not others.
