Couture fashion week kicked off on Saturday in the style capital of the world – Paris – which means it has been a five day parade of the dreamiest, most exquisite dresses designers can create. With a host of high-profile celebrities flying to France for the occasion, Couture Fashion Week plays host to not only catwalk shows, but also glamorous events from likes of Christian Dior, Chanel, Rodarte and Miu Miu.

We take a look at some of the most beautiful bridal inspiration hot off the Paris Couture catwalks…

Creative director of fashion house Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld has been delighting fashion fanatics for years with his dynamic, creative and breath-taking couture fashion shows- this year was no different, as Karl spectacularly created a catwalk in the Grand Palais under a 46-ton recreation of the Eiffel Tower! However, the highlight of each show is often the ‘Chanel Bride’ a new look for 2018, unveiled by the fashion legend on the catwalk by some of the biggest, up-and-coming models of the moment.

In the past, the Chanel bride has been modelled by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Claudia Schiffer however the July 2017 seen new model Camille Hurel showcase one of the most exquisite Chanel bridal gowns!  With a less-is-more attitude for autumn, Lagerfeld went for a chic and clean-cut bridal look. Hairstylist Sam McKnight created a new take on wedding hair that’s set to take the bridal industry by storm: flower-adorned minimalism. Featuring a low pony-tail with neatly tucked white flowers under the neck and a simple veil, it’s hard not to love this modern look!

Ralph & Russo

Showcased on Monday, actress Sonam Kapoor walked the catwalk in Paris’s Grand Palais to represent Ralph & Russo’s show-stopping and dazzling bridal gown.  From the duo-designers winter 2017 collection, the dramatic bridal creation featured a white embellished peplum dress with a spectacular train, sheer veil and decked out in thousands of intricate diamonds. The gown has been one of the key talking points of Paris Couture Fashion Week, and it’s easy to see why! With a touch of Bollywood glamour, the look was reportedly modeled on a Kate Moss photo-shoot with Vogue in the 1990’s.

Ralph & Russo also showcased a string of other bridal-worthy gowns, featuring heavy embellishments, pastel colors, illusion paneling and structured styles.

For brides searching for inspiration on a bohemian beauty style- look no further than American designer Rodarte’s 2018 spring / summer catwalk show, presented at Paris Couture Fashion Week. This was the first show for Rodarte’s designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy in Paris, and it was nothing short of breath-taking with an enchanted garden theme.

The collection featured several white and pastel toned dresses with styles that any whimsical and romantic bride could aspire to. They ruled the Paris runway’s with their ready-to-wear collection featuring some of the most beautiful bridal details. The designers romanced the runway with their reinvention of floral crowns, just when we thought floral crowns were no more, Rodarte elevated them to a whole new level – enabling us to fall in love all over again! Featuring not only floral crowns of Gypsophila (Baby’s Breath), they introduced a new extravagant concept- floral shawls! Who knew? Could this be a new trend for spring/summer 2018 brides? We cant wait to see!
