If you keep up with the latest in the Irish fashion industry, then you’re bound to have heard of Emma Manley’s name. Emma is a talented Irish designer, who has her own range (www.manley.ie) of stylish yet edgy fashion pieces, accessories and more recently bridal gowns!
The Irish star tied the knot to her long term love Eoin Ó Suilleabhain last week, and her dress was STUNNING …Not that we would have expected any less of course. The bride wowed in one of her own ‘Manley’ creations, with the incredible gown featuring 16,000 beads and 12,000 Swarovski crystals, inspired by the flight patterns of bees. She opted for a short bridal dress with a sheer overlay, with intricate detailing and completed with a dazzling silver headpiece- and it was nothing short of breathtaking!
Emma had previously interned with Alexander McQueen, where she discovered her love of embellishment. The embellished and white theme continued into the bridesmaids dresses to tie the look altogether. And Emma’s new husband Eoin donned a classic three-piece suit. It is reported the dress was also inspired by celebrity Hollywood actress and style icon Blake Lively. Blake donned a gorgeous white embellished dress, when attending the premier of her husband Ryan Reynolds’s film ‘The Green Lantern’, where it also had a sheer lace bottom to show off their amazing pins. Although Emma went for a more boho-chic look than Blake, we absolutely love Emma’s design!
Emma designed and created good friend Aoibhín Garrihy’s bespoke wedding dress in September last year- a dazzling full length floating gown, featuring a V-neck and embellishment inspired by the Wild Atlantic Way. It is no surprise then, that a glimpse of Emma’s own wedding dress was hotly anticipated with the rumour mill going into overdrive on what she would go for. We certainly weren’t disappointed! We just love the detail and matching designs of the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls, such a unique look!
The designer took to social media to share an intimate snap from the day, giving followers and fans a chance to see her show-stopping gown. She says “On Saturday I married my very best friend @eoinos. We can honestly say we had the best day of our lives celebrating with those we love the most”. The new Mr and Mrs Ó Suilleabhain are now off on a romantic honeymoon in Asia, sharing an insight to their trip with followers on Instagram.
A smile says a thousand words. The 10th of June was the best day of my life because I got to marry this guy @eoinos 😍 And may I add doing it in a @lkmillinery head piece and @edgeonly jewellery made it even more stylish then I had imagined 🙌🏻 Pics by @paulmcgintyphotography #werehitched #hellohusband #weddingday #madewithmanleylovingcare #manley #mymanley #irishdesign #supportirish #madeinireland #manleybride #bride
