Dublin GAA legends Paul Flynn and Fiona Hudson said their ‘I do’s’ to each other last weekend after a decade together.
The loved-up pair tied the knot in a gorgeous winter ceremony in Virginia, Co. Cavan, followed by a reception in Virginia Park Lodge. It was the perfect end to the year which saw them both win All-Ireland medals for their home county in the Ladies’ and Men’s Football Championships respectively.
The bride looked absolutely stunning in a classic and slinky lace gown with delicate scalloped neckline. Fiona wore her blonde hair in glam tousled waves with a gorgeous headpiece, and completed her look with a pretty white bouquet.
Fiona’s bridesmaids- sisters Karen and Sarah, as well as friends Lauren Carroll, Catherine Keaney and Grace Gibson- complimented the theme of the day in pastel pink dresses.
‘The Herald’ reported that Paul’s brother-in-law and fellow GAA star Darren Daly was best man on the day, whilst the groomsmen were his brother Fergus, nephew Cian Daly, Fiona’s brother Liam and friend David Killeen.
Prior to the wedding, Paul spoke to VIP Magazine about his wedding plans, he said:
“Fiona is definitely more prepared. There’s no question, anything that has been lacklustre in the preparation has been because I was supposed to do it. She has been brilliant and I’m just kind of taking her guidance”.
The day turned out to be not only beautiful, but magical as they exchanged their vows with the crisp white snow laying outside- the perfect December wedding!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
