He’s a heartthrob both on and off the court, but as of this weekend…he’s taken ladies!
The Spaniard tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello over the weekend in Mallorca. And not to make you any more jealous, Maria was gifted not just one, but two custom couture gowns from one of our favourite brands, Rosa Clara.
Rafa, who popped the question in May 2018 after 13 years together, wed Maria inside a stunning the British-owned venue before treating their guests to a tantalising menu put together by Michelin-star chef Macarena de Castro.
Maria Perelló looked incredible in an elegant and sophisticated Rosa Clará haute couture design with pure, delicate lines. The bodice, with jewel neckline and long sleeves, was made of beautiful Art Deco-inspired French lace with delicate patterning, flower motifs and micro-beading on the meticulously hand-embroidered fabric.
The ballgown-style skirt, made of silk crepe, featured a weightless detachable train. Maria completed her bridal look with a wonderfully subtle silk tulle veil. The exceptionally crafted gown was made in the Rosa Clará atelier. The couple’s mothers and the groom’s sister all chose Rosa Clará for their gowns also.
Describing the emotions such a special moment evokes, Rosa Clará share-
‘I feel very fortunate to have met Maria and to have designed the wedding dress she had always dreamt of. Being part of this moment is thrilling and a little scary — the responsibility that comes with a wedding like this that receives so much international attention is enormous. The connection with Maria was immediate, as it was with her mother and Rafa’s mother and sister. They’re an extraordinary family and it has been a pleasure to work with them.’
