New bride has wedding photos stolen in Derry/Londonderry

Crimestoppers have issued an appeal to help a new bride who has had presents and wedding photos stolen from a car in Derry/Londonderry

Police in Strand Road, Derry are appealing for information that could help a new bride have her wedding photos and other items which were stolen, returned to her.

The newlywed had just received her wedding photos on a USB stick which were in her Michael Kors handbag; a present from the woman’s husband. The USB, vouchers that had been given to the couple from guests, and items of sentimental value were in the handbag which was stolen from a car in the Celtic Park area of the city.

Constable Tracy Flynn, the investigating officer, said:

On November 29 a vehicle was broken into in the Celtic Park car park area of the city and a black Michael Kors leather handbag containing multiple items was stolen.

The bags’ contents included a USB stick with 700 wedding photos from the owner’s recent wedding. The USB is quite distinctive in that it is in a small wooden box with the name of a photographic company engraved on it. The USB also has the company name printed on it.”

Information can be given to police on the 101 non-emergency number, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
