Melissa Benoist fell in love with her co star Chris Wood. This is not unheard of, especially when they are love interests on screen.
They met on the set of Supergirl, where Melissa plays the lead role of Superman’s cousin. The show aired in 2015 and Chris was added to the cast in 2016, where the two played love interests Kara Zor-El and Mon-El.
In March 2017, they made their first appearance as a couple, three months after Melissa finalised her divorce to former Glee-star co star Blake Jenner. They often share snippets of their relationship accounts and this is how they have decided to announce their engagement!
Melissa, 30 shared a loved up selfie of Chris kissing her cheek and her hand resting to show off her stunning ring, with the caption reading ‘yes yes yes it will always be yes.’
Chris too shared the same sweet selfie and simply wrote ‘The happiest.’
The ring was designed by Jennifer Meyer, with the help of Chris, 31 too! On their caption they wrote ‘As a designer it’s being a part of moments like these that means everything. Congratulations Melissa & Chris on your engagement! Chris, when you designed this ring with me, you made some girls on the JM team wish you had a brother. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness and lots of babies!’
