Another Royal wedding is just around the corner, with Buckingham Palace confirming Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding on 18th May 2019.
Love is in the air with all the young Royals, with the Queen’s grandson Prince Harry and granddaughter Princess Eugenie tying the knots with their respective partners, Meghan Markle and Jack Brooksbank in 2018. And now it’s been revealed another Royal wedding is just around the corner, between Lady Gabriella Windsor to financier Thomas Kingston.
In the statement released by Buckingham Palace in September 2018, Lady Gabriella’s parents wrote ‘Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr Thomas Kingston. The engagement took place in August; Mr Kingston proposed on the Isle of Sark.’
While the wedding is taking place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, the same as Prince Harry’s and Princess Eugenie’s, it’s going to be vastly different from these big affairs. While they were televised and public events – this wedding is going to be a lot more intimate and private, with no carriage procession or the public invited. The reception will take place at Frogmore House.
It’s taking place on 18th May 2019, close to Harry and Meghan’s anniversary, with only family and friends invited, including high profile members of the family expected to attend. But while Lady Gabriella is a second cousin to the Queen, she did not attend her brother’s wedding, Lord Frederick Windsor, in 2009, so it is unsure whether the Queen will be in attendance.
Thomas Kingston dated the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton, but it ended on good terms, with Lady Gabriella and Thomas attending Pippa’s wedding in 2017, so it is likely Pippa will be in attendance to their big day too.
