We decided to catch up with Avery Cinematography who will be joining us at the Wedding Journal Show this September/ October!
Tell us a bit about yourselves?
My name is Mark and I am married to Pam and we have just welcomed our daughter Halle into the world in April 2023! Avery Cinematography was established in 2022 after a few years working on promotional content for businesses. I was asked to do a friends wedding video and jumped at the opportunity. After that, another friend approached me and it has just taken off from there!
I had been looking around at how to get more involved in the wedding scene and start to establish myself better! I came across the Wedding Journal and the show in the Titanic Exhibition Centre. I sent off an enquiry and it went from there really. I could see how big the show is and the reach The Wedding Journal has to couples who are looking to put their own twist on their big day!
Could you explain a bit more about what you specialise in and what makes you different from others?
I am listed as a videographer. One of the key areas I focus on is storytelling. As someone who will shoot a video for you on your wedding day, I want to tell your story. I want to show as naturally as possibly the love that is shown between two people. I try and do that using a cinematic approach which basically comes down to a shooting style. I will try to make your wedding day look as natural and film like as possible.
This will be my first year at the Wedding Journal Show and I am really excited about getting to meet all the couples that will be coming through the door! It will also be a chance to meet other vendors, new ones I have never met and also catch up with ones I have worked with previously. Anyone couples who I have spoken to have thoroughly enjoyed being there and came away with a lot of inspiration for their big day.
It gives me a platform to showcase previous work and demonstrate what I can offer new clients!
How have you seen the bridal industry change over the past couple years?
As I have only started in my journey over the past 2 years, I feel my experience is very limited. In saying that, from a filming point of view, the quality of content that people are producing is getting higher and higher. It is such a competitive market that you really have to stand out to make a mark. The bridal industry expects a certain level of quality now and that’s exciting to meet and exceed those expectations
Why should any couples go to your stand on the day?
My team and I will be friendly and approachable to any couple coming to speak to us! We will be demonstrating all of the services we have to offer on the day and any couple will be able to walk away knowing what to expect from Avery Cinematography. We offer some of the best content around to showcase their special day. I am hoping to have a few surprises on the day and hopefully introduce them to other vendors that I am working closely with.
