About Greyhound Stadiums

Organising a Hen or Stag party is tricky, trying to balance the budget and do something different all while catering for different ages and tastes. That’s when a Night at the Dogs comes in! Whether going on tour or keeping it local, with greyhound stadia in major towns and cities across the country you’ll find one to suit. Check our website for locations.

What exactly is it?
New to Greyhound Racing? Then let us help paint the picture. The stadium buildings are glass-fronted with panoramic views of the racing and there’s a variety of spaces inside with restaurant, bars and grandstand areas to choose from. For restaurant customers the evening begins about 7pm (just when everyone’s getting hungry) when you’ll arrive and be shown to your table in the restaurant. The talented in-house kitchen team prepare and cook the food and the menu is packed full of Irish produce and favourites. It’s fast paced – a typical race lasts only 30 seconds and they run every 15 minutes. There’s usually 10 to 12 races on a night so hopefully you’ll have mastered the art of picking a winner by the end! With just 6 Greyhounds in a race, choosing that winner is easier than you’d imagine and if you fancy a flutter (just €1 will do!) then the Tote betting staff will come right to your table.

How much will it cost me?
Weekend Restaurant packages are available from as little as €27.95, with more casual Finger Food packages from just €15 per person. This includes admission and race programmes, worth €10 alone.
New for 2017 – upgrade with a Hen / Stag Party add-on for just €6.50 per person including drinks, Tote betting vouchers & a treat for the Hen or Stag.

Sounds good, is there anything else I should know?
For an extra special touch, why not ask about upgrading to a private suite (venue dependant).
The racing usually winds up about 10.30 leaving plenty of time for post-race partying in the stadium or in another pub or club in town. Venues in Dublin and Limerick offer a free weekend Shuttle Bus to town so be sure to ask about it and save those precious pennies!!
