It was second time lucky for Eastender’s Laurie Brett and finacé Dennis Ibrahaim after they had to postpone their wedding due to illness.
Better known as Jane Beale, on screen wife of Ian Beale, Laurie, 49 had to cancel her original wedding with Dennis Ibrahaim after he took seriously ill.
On the run up to the first wedding, Laurie noticed Dennis was very weak and decided to take him into hospital just in case. Thankfully she did it just in time as he had pneumonia and sepsis! The doctor warned Laurie that things could have been a lot worse if she had waited any longer.
Once Dennis was fully recovered, plans were set in motion to get married – again!
The big day finally came and Laurie and Dennis were married. They had an intimate and relaxed ceremony with sixty guests, including some co-stars from Eastenders. One co-star, Tamzin Outhwaite, shared some snaps from her Instagram stories.
In the stories, there’s a sneak peak of Laurie’s look; her short blonde hair was curled and decorated with purple flowers and her dress featured a V-neck and what looks like sheer sleeves.
The pair are seen holding champagne glasses as they share a newlywed kiss, with Dennis in a navy suit and tie. The story is captioned as, ‘Congratulations Laurie and Den.’
Tamzin also shared a story of a very impressive arrange of flowers, labeling it, ‘Gorgeous flowers.’
