On their one year anniversary, co-stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden share pictures of their birthday party wedding day.
On 10th February 2018, friends and family members of Charley, 30 and Matthew, 38, were attending what they thought to be a 30th birthday party for Charley. But on arrival they surprised everyone by announcing it was their wedding ceremony!

The pair met on set of Emmerdale in 2006. Charley had already been working there since 2002 as teenager Debbie Dingle when Matthew joined the cast as David Metclaffe, and it wasn’t long before sparks started to fly.
Matthew proposed to Charley in 2009 at Christmas time and the pair remained engaged for an impressive nine years, welcoming two baby boys in that time; Buster and Bowie. It’s not reported they are expecting their third.

Their wedding day took place at Ripley Castle near Harrogate and their bridal party had to step into their roles on very short notice!
The pair reveal that the reaction of their guests was unforgettable ‘people just screamed for about ten minutes!’ The non-traditional couple were extremely happy with how their big day went, with no sit down meal or too many speeches, and more a focus on the unity of family.
Now on their one year anniversary, Charley and Matthew have shared sweet photos of their wedding party.
Charley shared a post of her embracing her new hubby and a caption that reads ‘You do the Hokey Cokey and you turn around’. 10.02.2018.’
