A big congratulations to the happy Hollyoaks co-stars, Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed, on their recent engagement!
The pair act alongside each other on the hit TV series, where they are on/off boyfriend and girlfriend Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter. In fact, the engagement comes two weeks after their on screen wedding – which may have got Rory in the mood for a real life wedding with his co-star girlfriend!
Rory popped the question on a trip to Amsterdam, just in time before Christmas, surrounding by twinkling lights and sparkling decorations. He posted to Instagram a collection of photos in one post captioned ‘she said yes!! Swipe for reaction >>>’. The first showed an elated Nadine showing off her hands and looking utterly shocked, the next shows a hilarious video of Nadine doing a celebratory dance and thirdly, a very loved up couple!

Nadine too took to Instagram to celebrate the news by writing a simple ‘Yes. @rorydouglasspeed’ under a collage of fun and intimate photographs. The couple look blissfully happy as they goof about in a photo booth, unashamedly celebrating their love for each other!

Messages have flooded in from their fellow co-stars on Hollyoaks that Nadine shared on her Instagram stories. Amanda Clapham wrote ‘Congrats my beautiful friends! @nadinemulkerrin @rorydouglasspeed’, Stephanie Davis wrote ‘So happy for these two! Beautiful couple, beautiful people. So happy for you, you both deserve so much happiness! Welling up here! Just beautiful. @nadinemulkerrin @rorydouglasspeed’, and Nadine’s work gave her a day off ‘Hello Mrs Douglas Speed to be! A huge congratulations from all of us! You are no longer required for filming tomorrow!’
