1 – When should you start your gift list?

We would advise that you choose all the gifts prior to your wedding invitations being sent out. You can keep on adding gifts right up until your wedding day!

You can easily set your list up online or you can visit our showroom on 19 Clare Street, Dublin 2 where one of our experienced Gift Gurus will do it for you! Our team of Gift Gurus in store and online are highly trained who are full of inspirational gift ideas, product information and helpful wedding list advice.
Our website is also full of inspiration with over 400 brands and inspirational online collections, from the newest interior trends to everyday essentials.
3 – Where to start when picking your gifts?
It’s important to spend some time to think about your needs and how to tailor your gift list to those needs. Are you moving into your new dream home and you want to upgrade your essentials? Or do you already have all the everyday items and you fancy getting something that you would never normally treat yourself to?
These are good questions to ask yourself, chat through with your partner and begin to pick the gifts you know you will both love and use! You can also visit our showroom to meet with your Gift Guru who can advise.
4 – How many gifts should you add?
The more gifts you add to your list – the better! We advise at least three or four gifts per wedding invitation. You can add anything you would like to your list, but do bear in mind that your guests will have different budgets and so it is important to add fun, inspiring gifts in all different price brackets.
Once you have compiled your list, your Gift Guru will be happy to look at it and offer gifting advice and product recommendations.
5 – How do you let your guests know you have a gift list?
Notify your guests about your gift list with lovely notifications cards from The Wedding Shop which you can send out with your invitations.
You can also share your own personal URL with guests if you have electronic invites or on your wedding website.
6 – How are your gifts delivered?
