Killeavy Castle Estate is nestled within County Armagh’s stunning Slieve Gullion. In our Meet The Expert this month, we catch up with Events Manager Seidy Hynds to find out more about her and her job.
‘I first started working in hospitality when I was 19 in a small boutique hotel in Tallinn, and I knew hospitality was for me! Since then, I have worked in five-star exclusive hotels across Europe in a range of roles from Food and Beverage Manager to Wedding Co-ordinator and now find myself in my dream role of Events Manager at Killeavy Castle Estate.
‘I have a passion for weddings and working closely with our clients on the most important day of their lives is something I treasure. Working with so many couples over the years and then watching their dreams come true on their wedding day is an incredibly rewarding feeling. I relish creating lifelong memories for these couples and their families, and I am incredibly proud of all the team at Killeavy Castle Estate who are involved in delivering these events.
‘The majority of my role at Killeavy is looking after weddings and in my spare time, I am always researching and reading about current wedding trends, ideas, and fashion shows! I just love all things wedding-related! So much so that, I am already annoying my husband to renew our wedding vows and we are only married three years!
‘The best thing about working in the wedding industry is the life-long bond that I build with couples and the friends I make through various suppliers. It is such a positive, inspiring industry, and I feel blessed to play my part.
‘In my spare time, I love to post on my social media page and share all things wedding related allowing couples to gather great tips and tricks to build their perfect day.
‘I truly believe weddings are not just stunning for the sake of stunning, they’re immersive, enticing and engaging at every turn. I feel they are enriched by experiences, steeped in sentiment, and buzzing with that rare feeling that happens when good people celebrate great love in incredible places.’
