Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland and her fiancé Wells Adams have put their wedding plans on hold.
The pair were due to get married in the coming months, but like many other brides and grooms, they’ve had to postpone their big day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During an appearance on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons – Ever!, Sarah explained:
“No plans as of right now. We’ve put all planning on hold. All of my family is mostly on the East Coast, so for them to fly out … and just ages and of course with my health risks, we want to be as safe as possible.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with Access Hollywood, Wells explained that’ve had to press pause on wedding planning. “What’s the point of even trying to get something solidified with everything being so up in the air?” he said, before adding, “If it lasts really really long, I think we could do a small backyard thing.”

While it sucks for the couple to postpone their big day, Sarah says the time they’ve spent together during the pandemic has brought them closer.
“I just appreciate everything even more now. Even tiny things like sitting on the couch and eating chips,” Sarah recently told PEOPLE. “Look, I love to do that all day long, but if you’re doing it with the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with, it’s just 10 times better.”
The pair have a super cute ‘how they met’ story. They met in August 2017 during Wells’ gig as a bartender on Bachelor in paradise. The couple exchanged some flirty tweets, before Wells’ slid into Sarah’s DMs and invited her out for tacos – the dream, tbh.
In July 2019, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram, after Wells popped the question during a vacation in Fiji.
They’ve been busy planning their dream day since then. We hope their wedding plans are back on track soon!
