Dramatic Ballgowns

One word… OBSESSED! This year we found lots of modern ballgowns on our catwalks that didn’t shy away from sparkle or sequins. If you want to turn heads as you walk the aisle and feel like a princess, go bold with your ballgown – the more drama, the better! The above dress is a stunning design by Gaia Bridal which can be found at Divinity Bridal and Bridal Elegance Boutique.

Daring Necklines

Take the plunge with a daring deep neckline as seen on our bridal catwalks! There was plenty of deep, angular necklines and exposed corsetry that really brought the wow-factor. Don’t be afraid to make a statement with your neckline which can take your dress to the next level. The styles above are from the new Enzoani collection stocked at La Bella Sposa, Divinity Bridal and L A Bridal House.

Statement Sleeves

One of the biggest trends we caught on our catwalks was the variety of statement sleeves. This is an incredibly popular bridal trend that adds a stunning shape, volume, texture and drama – giving brides multiple options for their look. The structured puff sleeve is just one of our many favorites! These stunning gowns can be found at Orchid Bridal Studio.

Strong Shoulders

Another statement sleeve is the strong puff shoulder sleeve. Delicate yet fierce, this adds an almost masculine energy to the dress which blends beautifully with the feminine features – adding a more androgynous look which is very high fashion in today’s modern world! The above dresses are also from Verona Bridal.

Edgy Elements

2022 and 2023 wedding fashion is all about breaking tradition and thinking outside the box. This was definitely reflected on our bridal runway as we saw many high-thigh splits, daring necklines and detailed bodices. One edgy element we loved this year was the one-shoulder dress – contemporary, alternative yet still very bridal. We’re loving this style from Perfect Day.

Colour Craze

Shaking up the traditional white colour palette, we also saw lots of pops of colour in our bridal gowns. Red and black gowns wowed the crowds and turned heads making a bold statement on this years runway. We’re inspired! This stunning red gown can be found at Angel Star Bridal.

Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle

As the runway lights beamed onto the catwalks we fell in love with the variety of sparkle, sequins and shimmer gowns. Flirty, feminine and fairytale-like, these dresses definitely stood out for their dramatic and princess feel. You can also find this beautiful ballgown is from the latest Ronald Joyce collection.

Contemporary Capes

Bridal capes are making waves in the wedding world and we’re loving it! This is a great way to switch up your look and add that contemporary chic feel. Make an entrance and float down the aisle in a delicate cape or add this to your dress for an alternative afterparty ensemble. These amazing styles are from Gaia Bridal‘s newest collection stocked at Divinity Bridal and Bridal Elegance Boutique.

Intricate Lace

Looking for a bridal trend that will never go out of trend? Intricate lace detailing and overlays are traditional, trendy and here to stay! If you’re a more traditional bride who wants a classic and timeless look, this is perfect for you. These wedding dresses are from the new Enzoani collection stocked at La Bella Sposa, Divinity Bridal and L A Bridal House.

Sleek Silhouettes

Clean lines, sleek silhouettes and simple wedding dresses are so on brand this season as reflected on our bridal catwalks. This mix of minimal dresses complimented the more dramatic and statement-making gowns that graced our runway. If you’re inspired by the less is more look, there are plenty of stunning options for you. Find this amazing style from the new Enzoani collection which can be found at La Bella Sposa, Divinity Bridal and L A Bridal House.
