When it comes to pampering the bride-to-be, a spa day at the Rabbit Hotel & Retreat with a rejuvenating facial is the ultimate treat!
I visited the the Spa at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat to check it out on behalf of all of our brides seeking the perfect home hen day out, and honestly, I couldn’t recommend a better way to relax and chill with your girls.
From the stylish interiors and welcoming staff that greet you upon arrival, to the delicious food served in the Palm House, and the mocktails and cocktails from the beach bar, I highly recommend it for a girly get-together. Plus, there are lots of great photo opportunities to capture your memories and of course share them – because if it’s not on the gram did it even happen?
The spa area itself is intimate, yet offers plenty of relaxtion areas including lakeside hot tubs, an aroma steam room, Swedish sauna, salt cave and the heated pebble beach (the only one of its kind in Ireland) overlooking the flowing Six Mile River. The Roman bath with its famous glittler ball really does serve those bohemian glam holiday vibes – so if the hen to Ibiza doesn’t make it out of the group chat – then a day here is just what you all need!
During your time at the spa definitely indulge in one of their exclusive treatments. The treatment rooms offer a beautiful enviroment in which to unwind and relax, and I was fortunate to have a room with a picturesque view over the river.
When it comes to deciding which treatment to go for, my treatment of choice is definitely the Germaine de Capuccini Radiance C Facial. I would have normal to dry skin and wouldn’t be prone to blemishes, but do sometimes feel that my complexion needs a bit of a helping hand when it comes to achieving a desired glow. Having used Vitamin C seums in the past and enjoying their benefits for my skin, I was excited to see what results this facial would acheive because it boasts a patented formulation that increases the benefits of Pure Vitamin C by 6 times!
After a brief consultation with your therapist, you are instantly soothed as you lie on down for an aromatic start to your treatment as the tension in your head and neck is released. Your skin is then cleansed with warm towels and prepped for to get the full benefit of the Vitamin C. A luxurious serum is then applied and its absorption helped with the use of a massage ball which also has the benefit of lifting facial muscles, releasing tension and increasing blood flow for an increased glow.
After this revitalising massage, an illuminating Vitamin C sheet mask, is then applied to further firm and deeply hydrate the skin and you will enjoy a soothing hand and foot massage while this is doing its magic, before a closing ritual with warmed towel and gentle neck stretches a spritz of the devinely scented Pleasure and Calm Aromatic Body Spray.
I have to say that this was one of my favourite facials! Not only was it a treat for the senses, but my skin looked and felt fantastic afterwards. I would definitely go back to use the spa just to be able to experience this facial again, and for a bride prior to her wedding I would have no hesitation in recommending it for a pre-wedding glow up!
