We are so excited to give our fabulous readers an exclusive sneak peak at the beautiful new Morilee collection for 2020 designed by Madeline Gardner in New York.
WJ caught up with Madeline herself to delve deeper into the campaign, and to discuss her influential style trends.
Madeline told us: “This collection called Modern Romance speaks the language of love! Featuring chic and modern silhouettes accented by delicate laces and soft nets, it combines both classic and forward-thinking elements of bridal. From fresh takes on A-line and ball gown silhouettes to fierce contoured mermaids, elaborate details like dimensional beading, floral and geometric laces, and intricate embroidery.
One of my favourite looks from the collection is Alessandra, style 2193.
It’s a romantic and ethereal look featuring this season’s signature deep plunging neckline and a lingerie style bodice – something you will see a lot of in this collection. It is sexy and sheer without being too daring or revealing.
It also comes in some new warm tones we have recently introduced: ivory/honey, ivory/prosecco/honey and white/porcelain.
Another of my favourite pieces is Alexis, style 2182, our show-stopping flounced mermaid gown.
A daring gown with cut-out sheer side panels and a deep lunging neckline, but this gown is all about the beautiful organza skirt which has details embroidery down to the hemline.
In a nod to the recent shift in plainer skirts teamed with intricate bodices, brides will love Adele, style 5867.
A lace and net bodice embellished with sequins on a satin skirt with hidden pockets. The surprise is in the absolutely stunning illusion back.”
