“It’s very easy to use – we just send them a link and it works like a body scanner which gives us everything we need from height to width and all the dimensions to tailor their suit perfectly for them.

Freddie Hatchet is one of the very few suit stores in Ireland that design custom-made suits and help grooms create their own signature style. They have also started to make their own shoes and shirts so you can get everything you need under one roof.

Brian continues: “We make all our own suits and I think we are actually the only shop in the country that doesn’t have any suit suppliers as we make everything ourselves from our own house cloths.

“Grooms can pick and choose from our house cloths to start with and they’re able to add any extra details along the way and we will help them create their own unique suit style from start to finish.”

Brian also says that grooms are becoming more and more creative with their suit styles ever since lockdown going for bold and colourful options for the big day.

“Usually every year you would find navy or grey are the most sought-after styles, but this year we’ve noticed there’s a little bit of everything coming into trend,” he says.

“Grooms are definitely getting more creative with their choices and are going for bolder looks. Green suits and burgundy suits are becoming really popular this season as well as the staple navy and grey options.

“We see grooms wanting more options and variety nowadays and that’s what we are aiming to give them. We also have more original house cloths coming soon with unique designs you won’t find anywhere else.”

If you’re a groom looking for a fun suit shopping experience, Freddie Hatchet are known for their outdoor beer garden were the groomsmen can bond over a beer and make a day of it!

“When grooms come into us for their wedding, we want to make it a fun experience so we give them a drink and they can have a laugh rather than the old stuffy suit shop feel,” Brian laughs.

“Everybody seems to be loving it and it relaxes everybody when choosing wedding suits so grooms can come along with their groomsmen and make it a fun day out.

“The bride will usually come along for the first appointment and then closer to the date they will bring their mates out and it just gives it a fun factor instead of a daunting experience.”
