Whether you’re planning an intimate cosy ceremony or a big party celebration, Kinsale Hotel and Spa provides a variety of stunning indoor and outdoor locations with a range of wedding packages to create your perfect day.

After winning Best Destination Venue of the year in 2020 at RSVP Wedding Awards, it’s no wonder it’s one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Ireland.

Blissful Backdrops

We spoke to Kinsale Hotel and Spa’s Wedding and Events Manager, Alison Walsh, who told us all about the beautiful gardens and blissful backdrops this venue has to offer.

“We are very lucky here with 90 acres of wooded parkland with views overlooking Oysterhaven Bay, which provides spectacular photography opportunities for weddings.” she says.

“We’ve found a lot of couples are now leaning towards civil ceremonies and for that we have options for both outdoor and indoor weddings. We can cater for up to 250 people in the function room and as we are located 5km outside of Cork, our space creates a very exclusive and private feel, making a relaxing venue for every type of wedding.

“We have options for both big and small weddings – our two outdoor locations include the large gardens with the beautiful bay views which work well for larger ceremonies of up to 150+ guests. For smaller weddings, we have the option of the outside terraces which still have all the lovely bay views but in a more confined area.

“Our ballroom, restaurant and all the public areas in the Hotel look out over the stunning Oysterhaven Bay as well as the terraces, which make for a lovely drinks reception with the option of a barbeque as well.”

Stylish & Serene

With a one wedding per day policy, Kinsale Hotel and Spa focus all their attention on creating your dream day with their five-star service and expert wedding team.

Alison says: “We stick to one wedding per day – that way we dedicate our full attention to that specific couple so they’re sure to have the wedding of their dreams and they have a stylish and serene setting to explore.

“We also offer a variety of different wedding packages to choose from – we’ve found that the traditional wedding package is the most popular which includes your five-course evening meals, drinks receptions and late-night snacks.

“We’ve always received five-star feedback from our previous couples – people love the property and grounds, and they get a team effort on the day because we are focused on one wedding and giving people an unforgettable experience!”

Kinsale Hotel and Spa also have a mouthwatering menu with a variety of different options to choose with tailor-made packages to suit your taste and budget.

“We have our traditional menus, but we can also clear the menus to give couples a starting point so they can include what they want on the day,” Alison says.

“We are very flexible with our menus, giving a guide of what we think will work and also working around your budget to find what works best for you.”

And if that wasn’t enough to make your decision, Kinsale Hotel and Spa also offer a luxury spa experience which won Best Destination Spa and Best Elemis Facial from RSVP Spa Awards in 2019 and 2020.

“Our Spa Manager, Roisin, is also fantastic at doing pre-wedding skincare treatments with tailored Elemis packages to get the skin prepped perfectly for your big day!” Alison explains.

“We often get 2-3 day weddings where people check in the night before and have a lovely meal with their family, then relax at the spa, get some lovely treatments and take advantage of the leisure centre.

“We’ve also had a lot of people stay, on especially during these times, and they get a lovely minimoon experience out of it too.”
