We spoke with Heather Jones, the store owner, who is constantly sourcing new fresh stock for younger top-table mothers who want a younger and fashion forward look.
“When people walk through the door, one of the first things they tend to say is ‘I don’t want a traditional mother of the bride style, that’s just not me’ and they say they just want a nice dress, but we really know what they want is a fabulous frock!” she says.
“We do find some people wanting that more traditional MOB look from time to time that is similar to Kate Middleton’s mum with a classic coat and dress. We have a wide range of style and colours for both the traditional MOB and younger fashion forward styles to choose from.

“The only trend we’re not really seeing at the moments is long dresses. It’s very rare for mother of the brides to go for a full-length dress nowadays and they’re opting for more fun, fresh and youthful looks such as two pieces and shorter dresses.”

“We offer a variety of stunning mother of the bride outfits, available in sizes 6-26, which are certain to complement your daughter or son on their special day,” Heather says.
“In terms of budget, our options start from £200 with some labels being more affordable than others. If someone comes into me with a specific budget, we can have a chat and get them something that works for them.

“We’re also a one stop shop so things are made simpler with everything under one roof from the hat, the shoes, the bag and accessories, so you can pick out your entire wedding wardrobe without the hassle. We also recommend some of the best dressmakers in our area for alterations if needed.”
No appointment necessary
For busy MOBs out there on the go, Heather assures there is no need to book an appointment, although she is available for one-on-one consultations for a little extra advice when needed.
“Since we’ve came back from the latest lockdown, I’ve made the executive decision to open the doors and people can come on ahead and we will get them sorted – no appointment needed!” Heather says.
“I think people are very happy to be back in the store shopping again as seeing the clothes in person and trying things on makes such a difference. We try to make the experience as pleasurable as we can for them.
